Why I started this blog

Hi,

My name is James Kang. As of writing this on the 13th of January 2025, I’m a 19-year-old living in Australia. I work as a PPC (Pay-Per-Click) Specialist at a marketing agency and am on my journey to FIRE.

I started pursuing FIRE in late 2020 (when I was 15 years old), and four years later, I’ve built up a decent nest egg of share investments, savings, and an investment property in Perth.

My goal with this blog is to build a community of like-minded teenagers who are also pursuing financial independence, or to educate basic fundamentals of building wealth, especially for Aussies, as there isn’t a tailored community for teenage Aussies who are actively pursuing financial independence.

My #1 goal is to empower and simplify wealth building for teenagers in Australia. Why? Because with so much information nowadays on “making passive income with ZERO effort” or investing in a dodgy bitcoin scam disguised as a perfectly sound investment designed to suck every dollar out of your wallet.

I want to share everything I’ve learnt about wealth building for FREE.

ZERO dollars. I’m not here to sell you a course, a program or spam you with 10 affiliate links to earn a commission. My mission is to provide FREE financial tips & advice for the average Australian teenager who’s on their path to building wealth, or wants to build wealth but doesn’t know where to start.

With gurus and even financial influencers trying to sell you 20 different money-making courses and apps, I’m here to help you filter through all the internet BS and simplify your path to building wealth.

I believe that ANYONE, and I mean ANYONE, has what it takes to build wealth and achieve financial independence. It doesn’t take a lot of grit, grind or even an immense amount of knowledge. All you need is consistency + savings to build wealth.

Creating A Like-Minded Community

I don’t want to just write articles and post them on my blog.

My goal is to create an Australian community of teens who want to build wealth, but don’t know where to start.

With so much information online nowadays, it can be difficult to find ONE source of truth and filter through the noise.

In this community, I want us to empower each other on our journey to financial freedom.
